Welcome to short courses in Fiber Optic Technology

Lightwave Technology Corp. offers a vast range of short courses in the field of electro-optic devices and all-optical networking systems. Course subjects include all the areas of optical fiber telecommunications and networking systems, optical data communications, fiber optic technology, optical integrated devices, optoelectronic technology, optical measurements, and microfabrication processing for optical devices. An attempt is made to include as much recent material as possible so that the participants are exposed to the recent advances in the field. In each section, we have provided practical problems that deal with “real-world” situations, and detailed references. Our primary focus is to report the accomplishments to date, and presenting the issues requiring future development in each of the major areas presented in these courses.

Consulting Service:

Our team members collaborate with professional staff and faculty at local universities in Cleveland, Ohio to provide a broad spectrum of research and development in optical device technologies and optical networking systems. The fabrication facility and optical devices laboratory is approximately 5,500 square feet, half of which is Class 100. The equipment, with a total replacement value of 8 million dollars, is configured for wafer processing, making it suitable for prototype volume production in addition to research and development.
